Google Drive: vulnerabilities found and how it can infect your devices with malware

Some time ago, many cybersecurity experts discovered a vulnerability that allows malware programs to be inserted into documents made in collaboration with other people.

In an interview conducted by The Hacker News, security expert A. Nikoci says the problem stems from the fact that there is no verification mechanism for the authenticity of the file versions. This means that such a program can be hidden in the form of a picture or a link.

To be complete, Google Chrome doesn't check the files you download from Google Drive, but classifies them directly as safe.

Google officials have not given a statement on the issue, although it is a very serious security breach. I remind you that I'm writing this article 6 days (on September 1) after this information was made public.
